November 27th, 2014 Art Exhibits Paris Travel
In the former mansion of Marie-Laure de Noailles lies the Baccarat Museum. This small jewel of a museum is stunningly beautiful and as the name implies houses everything Baccarat. Designed by Phillip Stark it is quite magnificent. You are greeted by two huge mirrored framed images and are lead to the main floor by a rich red carpet that is a glow with thousands of fiber optic lights.
The galleries of the museum are displayed in creative and inventive ways from vignettes of beautiful glass table set with Baccarat from giant glass cases housing various Baccarat home collection pieces.
The museum is not large so after your eyes have finished feasting on all the gorgeous collection of Baccarat you will have time to feast with a bite eat in “Cristal Room” the restaurant of the museum. This beautiful space with Michelin-starred Chef Guy Martin in charge is truly inventive cuisine.
Dramatic chandlers float in back drop of a painted ceiling of the sky.
