A modern Palace enlivened with art and culture Le Royal Monceau is a designers dream, A french masterpiece with 149 elegant rooms and luxury suites, complemented by a contemporary spa, two stylish one Michelin starred restaurants and a chic Parisian bar. I stopped in for a cappuccino and fell in love instantly. This modern renovation of this old palace is bit controversial to some Parisians but I think its fantastic.
This heavily designed hotel is a delight for any one who wants to get some creative inspiration. Everywhere you turn there are wonderful surprises. The attention to detail is astonishing.
Even my cappuccino cup was a wonderful creation of Stark. Printed on the dish is a distorted image of ant or some other item that when viewed in the mirrored reflection of the glass plate can be seen normally. The collection can be purchased at the hotel or online.
The grand staircase of the hotel is a dream, the number of crystal chandeliers which are reflected off the mirrored walls surrounding it makes for a magical vision.
The hotel is home of two 1 Michelin starred restaurants “LA CUISINE”, this restaurant immerses guests in a friendly, artistic decor that elegantly combines large tables and more private alcoves.
The other 1 star Michelin restaurant is “IL CARPACCIO”, This Sicilian baroque style with an extravagant shell decor on the walls, opens onto a lovely glass conservatory drenched in light.
The dishes also are designed with little vignettes in the center of the plate—just another beautiful touch.
