I’m wigging out over the creative work of Asya Kozina. Asya is a inspiring paper artist from Russia—she sculpts, curls and cuts paper into some of the most amazing things. Recently she has created some over top baroque inspired paper wigs. I just love them, these fantastical coiffed wigs have such a wonderful sense of whimsy.
In Asya words, “Historical wigs always fascinated me, especially the Baroque era. This is art for art’s sake aesthetics for aesthetics, no practical sense. But they are beautiful. I made a series of wigs. Paper helps to highlight in this case the main form and not be obsessed unnecessary details.”
